1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of byte-system.one (the "Site") and the masterclass programs offered by Byte System (the "Programs"). By accessing the Site, registering for a Program, or otherwise interacting with our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms. If you are accepting these Terms on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation. We may update these Terms from time to time; the updated version takes effect on publication.
2. Eligibility and participant responsibilities
Participation in masterclass programs is open to professionals over the age of 19. By enrolling you confirm that the information you provide (employer, role, contact details) is accurate to the best of your knowledge. You agree to participate in good faith, to respect the confidentiality of cohort discussions, and to refrain from recording sessions without explicit instructor consent. Failure to meet these expectations may lead to removal from a Program without refund as set out in our Returns & Refunds policy.
3. Enrolment, fees, and payment
Enrolment becomes binding on receipt of payment or a signed purchase order. Fees are stated in Korean Won (KRW) and exclude any applicable consumption tax. Invoices are payable within 14 days unless otherwise agreed in writing. Late payment may result in suspension of access to Program materials until reconciliation is completed. Pricing, schedules, and instructor assignments may change with reasonable notice; material changes that affect your enrolment trigger your refund rights as set out separately.
4. Intellectual property
All Program materials — including slides, templates, recordings, worksheets, frameworks, and written feedback — remain the intellectual property of Byte System unless explicitly licensed otherwise. You receive a non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use these materials internally within your organisation. Resale, public publication, or commercial training based on Byte System materials requires our written permission. Artefacts you create during a Program (your own audience briefs, playbooks, attribution models) belong to you.
5. Acceptable use and cohort conduct
You agree to participate respectfully and to refrain from any behaviour that disrupts the cohort experience for other participants. This includes harassment of any kind, sharing confidential information across cohorts, or using cohort channels for unsolicited business solicitation. We reserve the right to remove participants who violate these standards, with refund eligibility determined on a case-by-case basis under the Returns & Refunds policy.
6. Use of the Site and account security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any account credentials issued to you. You may not access the Site through automated means that place undue load on our infrastructure, attempt to bypass access controls, or use the Site to distribute malicious software. We may suspend or revoke access to address security risks.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Korean law, Byte System's total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your participation in a Program is limited to the fees you have paid for the Program in question during the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or speculative damages, including lost revenue, lost opportunities, or third-party claims. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
8. No guarantees of business outcome
Our Programs are educational in nature. Participation does not guarantee any specific business outcome, revenue change, or career advancement. Examples and case studies discussed in classes are illustrative; actual results in your context will depend on factors outside our control, including team capacity, market conditions, and execution.
9. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms will first be addressed through good-faith discussion. If unresolved within thirty (30) days, the dispute will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Cheongju District Court, without prejudice to any non-waivable rights you may have as a consumer under Korean consumer protection law.
10. Termination and modifications
You may withdraw from a Program subject to the Returns & Refunds policy. We may terminate your access to a Program for material breach of these Terms or of our cohort conduct standards. We may modify these Terms with reasonable notice; for material changes, notice will be at least thirty (30) days. Continued participation after the effective date of an update constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
